Living Life on the Edge
Thank you so much for all of your support and thoughtful words yesterday! I can always count on all of you being there for me, I am so blessed with our Blogger community! I appreciate you so much, I just wanted to let you know.
I am doing better today, still feeling a little blue, but trying to stay positive.
I think I am just going through a certain time in my life where I am trying to figure out what to do with my life {in some areas} and what friends are going to stand by me no matter what, if you know what I mean. My twenties so far have been the years where areas in my life are changing all of the time and I am constantly trying to roll with the tide of change. I need to remember that change is good, even though it is difficult for me to accept.
Sooo…two days ago when I was talking to Big Kiddo he was mentioning how he wanted to get in shape more since his job has been keeping him so busy. {He used to do triathlons and marathons all of the time – that I wish I could do!} So he presented an idea to me, something that we could work towards together.
Well…he came up with the idea of hiking to Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.
Sure, I thought. No big deal. I have ran 1/2 Marathons, this one is about 14-16 miles, so I can handle that right? Beautiful sunrise if we left at midnight and got there at dawn, right? Ummmm, I am not so sure any more Ocean Dreamers.
You see, I had no idea that you actually HIKE UP Half Dome. Yeah, I know, silly me right?!
Well…when I started looking at these pictures they almost made me want to pass out. Seriously.
Let me just give you an idea of actually how high this things is.
Half Dome Elevation: 8,842 feet (2,650 meters)
Total Elevation Gain: 4,800 feet (1,600 meters) from Yosemite Valley
Holy crap!!!!
By the way, that is higher than the Empire State Building.
This picture makes me feel better. The degree by the way is only 45%, so maybe those other pictures just look scarier than it really is. I am hoping anyway.
Here is the top of Half Dome.
So my question to you my Ocean Dreamers is…should I do it? Twenty people have died climbing Half Dome. I have read all sorts of reviews on the internet, some saying that even the old and teens can make the climb. Some reviews said that it is very difficult and that you shouldn’t do it. Well…I think I could do it ONLY if I did it with a HARNESS. I wouldn’t trust myself otherwise.
But…I have to wonder if I will freak out and not make it. Maybe I will wait for Big Kiddo at the bottom while he conquers this giant monster. I am afraid of heights, so this may hinder me when I actually arrive to the Half Dome. Here is the trail to Half Dome, looks like so much fun!
But…I would love to see this in the morning, after hiking all night or all day {whatever we decide.} It would be amazing to watch the sun rise on top of Half Dome.
We plan to go during the end of May, early June. I will of course take pictures when I go and let you know if I decide to live my life on the edge, literally. I thrive on adventure and I most certainly have found a man who wants to test my limits. I love how he encourages me to conquer my fears and take the leap of faith.
Sooo…have any of you been to Half Dome? Would you do it?
Have a great hump day!
XOXO,

Daily Love

Hi Ocean Dreamers, I had a really bad day today and got into an argument with my best friend {the last time we argued this badly was in college}, received a horrible grade on a test, and tried with all of my might to get out of this funk but it just didn’t work until now.
Lets just say I am tired of being judged. I know that everyone makes mistakes and end of the day I think loving someone is better than pushing them away. If you and I have the ability and a command from God to love others, but instead of doing that, we judge and criticize them, we have taken the hold the thing {love} and cast it aside. We all make mistakes. We all have weaknesses. We are not to be hard-hearted and have a critical spirit toward each other, but instead to forgive one another and to show show mercy and love. {some of this is reworded by me from the novel Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer}
All is better with my best friend and every day I feel like I am learning the true meaning of love and being reminded to love and not to judge. Loving is my policy, no matter what.
I signed up on this site for some Daily Love, you should too if you need the boost! I love this poem, it really put everything into perspective for me.

What is this… Love?
By Mastin Kipp
Love allows
Love obeys
Love forgives
Love stays
Love endures
Love see’s through
All your fears
To the real you
Love stands true
Love stays firm
Love’s forever
It’s cheek it turns
Love holds no grudge’s
Love fights no wars
Love has no boundries
Love is what you’re looking for
Love’s not a game
But a patience hand
Love begins
Where division ends
Love has no future
It has no past
Love’s forever
And wears no mask
Love faces your fears
Love stays the course
Love doesn’t run away
Or rules by force
Love allows
Love observes
Love casts no judgement
And never has the last word
Love is flowing
And eternal still
Love says yes!
To no’s cold chill
Love does nothing
But leaves nothing undone
When your fear fades away
Love is what you’ll become
So let love in
In all it’s disguises
You never know what pleasures lay
In all of love’s surprises!
Love has no ego
No point to prove
And the best part about love
Is that it’s always within yourself
So, love, you can never lose
P.S. Thanks for all of your kind comments on my previous post, I will be making my rounds to all of your blogs soon. Thanks for all of your loving hearts.
XOXO,

I am really tired Ocean Dreamers, but I wanted to post some pictures from this weekend. I hope you had a great weekend too!
Bachlorette Party – Friday Night. I am the one with the tan headband and flower in the back, we had so much fun if you can’t tell, ha ha.
Blonde hair yet again, Saturday. I loved how she curled my hair.
Wish my hair could look like this all of the time…
Sunset at Laguna Beach, near the birthday party location on Saturday night. It made me happy staring at the sunset and the ocean, always quiets my heart.
Birthday party celebration for my friend…
Sunday, my outfit to the wedding. I switched it up last minute and experimented with tights!
My friend, now married. Congratulations Jessi!
Love this portrait of them
Whew, I am sleepy Ocean Dreamers and I have a blood shot eye to boot. I guess too much strain on my eye! I hope it goes away, pretty gross if you ask me… I know, probably too much TMI. Anyway, I am off to bed. Happy ocean dreaming!
Blessed Friday & Giveaway Winner!
Happy Friday Ocean Dreamers! Any exciting plans coming your way? Wanna take a few from me pretty please because I am feeling a tad stressed over everything that is coming. Seriously. But…it will be fun! Yay!
It is time for Blessed Friday my lovelies. Oh, and it is time to reveal the winner, but not yet. You have to wait. Ha ha ha, so sorry! Keep reading!
Sooo…
1. I am blessed that tonight I am hosting a Bachlorette Party at my apartment. Party! Nah, we are actually just chilling and painting our nails, eating yummy soup and chatting. This is the kind of party I want to be a part of! Wish my nails looked like this!

2. Checking out an Interior Design school to see if I want to add to my current career. So excited to learn all about interiors! I am blessed that I have many opportunities living in Cali!
3. Blessed to get my hair done all blonde again. Yipee! I admit it has been way to long since I got my hair done, it is just so expensive now and at least my roots are a shade of blonde, just not the pure blonde I prefer like in the pic below! I used this pic before in my Blonde July post, yep, it’s a repeat.
4. Birthday party for a friend Saturday night…at a lovely Mexican restaurant that I adore by the water. I am blessed to be surrounded by friends and celebrating a birthday!
5. Going to a wedding on Sunday, same friend that the Bachlorette party is for. Big Kiddo and I have bit of a road trip – it is about an hour and a half away. I love weddings and I look forward to celebrating the love that my friends have for one another! Love this photo by the way.
Okay, so that about sums up my blessed Friday happenings and activities that I am thankful for.
Now it is time to reveal the winner of my chocolate giveaway!
The winner is Hanako66 @ Through The Looking Glass
Hope you don’t mind that I stole a picture from your blog love! I couldn’t resist. If you haven’t checked our her blog, you must and you will fall in love!
I love this lady’s heart and her fashion sense, so this is just perfect for her. Plus, every girl needs some chocolate, right?
I hope you all have a great weekend! I’ll be back to play catch up on your blogs once all of my madness is over.
Happy Halloween!
Hello Ocean Dreamers, I hope you have an amazing Halloween!
Tonight I am off to Cirque du Soleil with Big Kiddo…I just can’t wait! Hopefully I’ll be able to take some photos, we will see if they allow it. I am not wearing my costume, I wanted a little break after my work party on Wednesday. I am wearing an orange shirt however!
Check out these pumpkins that my friends carved {I was the on looker} on Thursday night. They did such a good job!

Have a spooky night tonight, I can’t wait to see all of your costumes and hear all about your Halloween tales! I am watching The Nightmare Before Christmas right now and it is sooo good!
Happy Halloween!
Pink Pirate Work Party

Ahoy matey! Care to come aboard my ship?
I had so much fun at work today…our advertising department decided to dress up as pirates, we all had a blast taking pictures and eating yummy food!
I decided to go with wearing tights with my outfit, as I stated before since the dress is just a little too short. Obviously, ha ha. But…looking at the pictures I put the black tights over my design tights because I wanted the illusion that I had tattoos on my bottom legs. However, looking at the pictures now it looks like my legs are being cut in half, so I might have created a costume disaster. Oh well, I still liked how my costume turned out, minus the tights. I couldn’t believe how tall the hat was once it was actually on my head. Come on! Talk about pirate exaggeration!
Let’s get this pirate ship going here…enjoy!
A few lassies that won’t be walking the plank…
Sink me! Look at all of these lovely ladies!

Land ho!
I don’t know how I would feel if I really had this many tats, could you pull it off?
Are you sick of pink and pirates yet? Ha ha. I found out that putting the eye makeup on was very tricky…the black kept on getting smeary looking and I had to use a lot of q-tips and lotion to make sure I cleaned up where the black smudged too much. I used Sephora for my eye makeup. I love wearing all of the makeup, but once it is on I want it off, he he!

Blimey! It is way past my bedtime again Ocean Dreamers. I must go to bed to sail the seas!
Thanks for looking at all of these fun pictures of me and my buckos!
Oh, and in case you were wondering I found all of my pirate words here @ Puzzle Pirates: A Pirate’s Vocabulary, there are lots of fun words I learned on this site!
Have a wonderful Thursday Ocean Dreamers. Oh, and thanks for all of your comments on my Halloween Disney post, I was excited to find out that there are so many Disney fans out there like me!
Disneyland at Halloween Time

I really should be in bed right now Ocean Dreamers, but I was excited to post some pictures for you from Disneyland! I had such a wonderful time! Even though the lines were long and there were people everywhere, I definitely missed Disneyland. I hadn’t been there in a couple of years so I was very excited to go, it was like visiting an old friend!
Disneyland always brings me such joy. I love the imagination aspect of it all. Plus the rides are a blast. I enjoyed seeing the Haunted Mansion and how it transformed into The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was always too crowded for me to see it in years past, so this was my first year seeing it especially decorated from the film. They did such a good job, I hope you enjoy the pictures I captured.
By the way…thank you for all of your sincere responses to my post Haunted. Believe me, it took a lot for me to tell you all of that. I don’t like bringing up my haunt but sometimes it is good to reflect and help share with others if they are experiencing the same thing. I hope it helped you a little and thanks always for being so kind is response.
Here are some of my favorite pictures that I captured on Saturday, hope you enjoy a little bit of the Halloween Disney magic.
Look…it is Jack the Pumpkin King, and he is real, yikes!
Cutest ride, ever.
Love all of the shops, just adorable!
I visited Sleeping Beauty’s castle, Princess Aurora 3D magic was inside!
Sigh. Hopeless romantics alert!
The dress should be pink!!!!
No, no! It should be blue…
Caution: You are about to enter the Haunted Mansion. Turn back if you DO NOT want to be spooked!
Are you ready for more of Jack the Pumpkin King? 3D pictures inside of the Haunted Mansion…
Yay, it is Jack’s love interest Sally! I just adore her. Falling a part limbs and all.
Okay…do you see a difference between this photo and the next?!
I’ll give you a hint…did you look at the left corner? Isn’t Oogie spookie!!! I didn’t realize this until I looked at my pics tonight, I guess it changes in the Haunted Mansion. It truly is haunted! Wahahahaha…
Jack, Jack, the Pumpkin King.
Thanks for looking at all of the pictures, have you ever been to Disneyland Ocean Dreamers?
I better get to bed, tomorrow I am dressing up as a pink pirate for my Halloween work party! More pictures to come!
